Chateau Cap d'Or

Cap d'Or is the second wine produced by the Château, but rather than a second, Cap d'or embodies its feminine version. Feminine, it is so by its floral and raspberry touch as well as by the freshness and minerality of its approach. It is a fine and seductive wine, with a very subtle woody touch which comes from a desire to enhance the fruit and the terroir. Historically, Cap d'Or was named Cap Doro in the first century by the Romans when they decided to clear the hillsides facing "cap au soleil", due south. The sunshine is constant and allows for a beautiful maturation of the berries and pips, enough to lay the foundations for a more natural winemaking.
