The demands of Pinot Blanc (Weissburgunder) on soil and climate are high and testify to the relationship with Pinot Noir (Blauburgunder). Slightly overlooked and sometimes confused with Chardonnay, it is a mutation of the Pinot Noir grape and, like its relative, is particularly important where it grows. Luckily, back home, it's ingrained deep in our limestone soils and maturing in the warmth of our lakeside microclimate. This allows for a long wait when harvesting late to ensure optimum healthy maturity. We Austrians love this grape and produce a wine of fresh, fruity finesse that develops more complexity with age. A similar style to our more famous friends from South Tyrol.

Colour: Light yellow
Nose: Exotic fruits and pineapple
Guamen: Juicy and full, hints of citrus and ripe fruits
Food: Particularly recommended with light meat dishes, spicy Asian cuisine and gratinated dishes
