Clos de Gat Ayalon Valley 2018 is a distinguished red blend from the Judean Hills of Israel, crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes grown in the limestone-rich soils of the Ayalon Valley. Deep ruby in color with purple reflections, this elegant wine reveals expressive aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, dark cherries, Mediterranean herbs, and subtle toasted oak.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, concentrated, and beautifully balanced, with refined tannins, layers of dark fruit, earthy complexity, and a long, sophisticated finish. Aged for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels and bottled unfiltered, the wine reflects Clos de Gat’s minimal-intervention philosophy and the unique terroir of the Judean foothills.
Ideal for pairing with grilled meats, lamb dishes, rich Mediterranean cuisine, and aged cheeses.
