The name stems from the Latin abbreviation, promissio, meaning promise. The grapes are cultivated in the terre brune dark soils of the Ca'Marcanda vineyard. It also symbolizes the Gaja family’s commitment to beginning a meaningful new chapter in Tuscany.
Its grape variety distribution is c. 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah and 10% Sangiovese, aged in somewhat used barriques for 12 months followed by several months of bottle aging before release. It is classified IGT Toscana IGT.
Serve in Bordeaux glasses at a serving temperature between 16° – 18°C
