A fresh and characterful Italian rosé from Puglia, made from 70% Negroamaro and 30% Susumaniello. The grapes are grown in the heart of the Valle d’Itria, an area known for its warm Mediterranean days, cool evening breezes and distinctive calcareous soils mixed with red earth.
Produced by Tagaro, a family winery rooted in Puglia, Macco Macco reflects the region’s traditional grape varieties with a modern, elegant style. Half of the grapes are vinified directly as white wine, while the other half undergoes around 12 hours of cryomaceration to extract delicate colour and aromas. Fermentation takes place at a controlled 13–15°C, followed by ageing in stainless-steel tanks before blending.
Pale pink with attractive purple reflections, it offers an intense, persistent bouquet with fresh red-fruit and delicate floral notes. Dry, fresh and well balanced, with a pleasant fruity character and elegant finish.
Ideal as an aperitif or paired with Italian starters, fish soup, baked or grilled fish, and young or lightly aged cheeses.
Serving: at 13–15°C in Syrah/Shiraz glasses.
